Are Hisense fridges reliable, and are they worth repairing?
They are decent appliances and generally worth repairing, particularly the larger side-by-side and French-door models where a replacement is expensive. The most common failures are sensors, fans and control boards, all of which are moderate-cost repairs. Where we would pause is a sealed-system failure on a very cheap unit — at that point replacement can be the more sensible option, and we will say so.
My Hisense fridge is showing an error code. Can I fix it myself?
Some codes are informational — a door left open, a temporary temperature deviation after loading warm groceries — and will clear on their own. Others indicate a failed sensor or fan and will not.
