1. Who we are

Best Appliances ("we", "us", "our") provides fridge and washing machine repair services across Gauteng, South Africa. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to the repair services we provide.

2. What we collect

We only collect information that we need in order to respond to you and to carry out a repair:

Contact details — your name, phone number and email address, provided when you contact us or complete a form on this site.
Service address — the suburb and physical address where the appliance is located, so that a technician can attend.
Appliance details — the brand, model number, fault description and any photographs you choose to send us.
Repair records — the diagnosis, work carried out, parts fitted and payment record, retained for warranty and accounting purposes.
Technical data — standard web server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited.

3. Why we collect it

We process your information for the following purposes and no others:

To respond to your enquiry and provide a quotation.
To schedule, carry out and complete an appliance repair.
To honour a workmanship guarantee or a parts warranty.
To issue invoices and maintain accounting records as required by South African law.
To contact you about a repair we are carrying out or have carried out for you.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your details for unsolicited marketing.

4. Who we share it with

Your information may be shared with the technician assigned to your repair, and where necessary with a parts supplier in order to source a component for your specific appliance model. We may also share information where we are legally required to do so. That is the extent of it.

5. How long we keep it

Repair records and invoices are retained for the period required by South African tax and accounting legislation. Enquiries that do not result in a repair are retained for a reasonable period and then deleted. You may ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to any legal retention obligations we are under.

6. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, and to request its deletion where we are not legally required to retain it. You may also object to our processing of your information. To exercise any of these rights, email support@bestappliances.co.za.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

7. Cookies and this website

This is a static website. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own. Our web host may keep standard server logs for security and performance purposes. Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which may log the request in the ordinary course of serving the font files.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information you give us against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we do not collect more information than we need, which is the most effective protection there is.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last revision shown at the top.
