Where we work in the Western Cape

Coverage between those clusters varies by day and by distance, so the honest answer to “do you come to my town?” is that we will tell you when you call, before anything is booked. We would rather say no than take a booking we cannot keep.
What we repair

- Washing machines — not spinning, not draining, leaking, bearings, door locks and error codes

The Western Cape factor nobody mentions: salt air
This is the genuine difference between repairing appliances here and repairing them inland, and it is worth understanding because it changes what fails and when.
Air within a few kilometres of the coast carries salt. Salt is hygroscopic — it pulls moisture out of the air — and salt plus moisture on metal is corrosion. On an appliance that means three things in particular. Fridge condenser coils corrode and lose efficiency, so the compressor runs longer for the same cooling. Chassis screws, brackets and drum shafts seize, which turns a simple part swap into a much longer job. And exposed circuit board contacts corrode, producing exactly the intermittent, erratic faults that are hardest to pin down.
None of this is a reason to worry. It is a reason to keep condenser coils clean and to take an intermittent electrical fault seriously rather than living with it, because a corroded contact does not heal.

Parts and labour are priced the same way, but the call-out fee depends on distance, so it can differ between a Cape Town suburb and a Garden Route town. Whatever it is, you are told before the appointment is confirmed, never at the door.
Do you repair appliances damaged by coastal corrosion?
Frequently. Corroded condenser coils, seized fasteners and corroded board contacts are the everyday reality of coastal appliance work. Some of it is straightforward to put right; badly corroded electronics sometimes are not, and we will tell you honestly which one you are looking at.
